Student Support Services is available to all matriculated and pre-enrolled students who are part of the Glasgow School of Art community. We provide a professional and confidential environment in which you can explore issues that impact you and your studies.

Student Welfare & International Support
Offers practical support and advice about life in Glasgow and the practicalities of being a student including the following:
• Finding private rented accommodation and landlord issues
• Funding advice including UK student loans and US Federal loans
• Managing money and budgeting
• How to keep healthy and safe and register with a doctor
• Discretionary and Childcare funds
• Immigration advice and visa support
• Understanding GSA student policies such as Good Cause.
Learning Support & Development
Offers help and advice about learning at GSA is available to all students including:
• Workshops for essay, studio and other support topics including English as an additional language
• Study skills support such as organisation, time management, essay and studio support
• Specific support for students with a disability
• Support for students who are struggling with the learning on their course.
• Assistive technology to support reading and writing and organisation.
Disability Support
If you have a long term medical condition or disability that may impact on your learning or on your ability to participate, please let us know and provide evidence where possible. Our Learning Support staff will work with you to explore how your condition or disability might impact on your learning and support requirements at GSA. Many students at the GSA have disability related needs. The term disability includes:
• Long standing illness or health condition
• Physical impairment or mobility issues
• Mental health condition
• Social/communication difference
• Sensory impairment - such as a hearing or visual impairment
• Specific learning differences - such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, aspergers or AD(H)D
